I have been an electrologist for over 30 years. I was hired in 1971 by Kree International, a New York based chain, as the electrologist at Jacobson's Beauty Salon in Ann Arbor, Michigan where I remained for 10 years. After a few years, I was promoted to a sort of ombudsman status, attempting to resolve problems between other electrologists and their managers. After 10 years at Jacobson's, I opened my own practice and have been in private practice ever since. I truly did miss my co-workers at Jacobson's as well as my employers at both Jacobson's and Kree but it was time to move on. With over 30 years experience, I have helped thousands of clients, both female and male, accomplish their goal of being free of unwanted facial and body hair. My approach is to not look at unwanted hair growth as a "problem" so much as an annoyance. Even the coarsest type of hair growth can be conquered with proper treatment by a competent electrologist and dedication on the part of the client. In fact, heavy, coarse hair is often more quickly destroyed than soft, fine hair.
